Advice for New Home Buyers
Have an understanding of a few important factors - budget, location, credit score, type of home. A home buyer sometimes qualifies for more than house than they are comfortable paying for monthly - make sure the payment fits within your budget. When a buyer has an idea of location, they should researched crime statistics, school districts and points of interest they want to be near. A home buyer should know ahead of time what their credit score it as this will have an impact on approval, rate etc. If credit is not where it should be, they should slow down the process and take the time to work with a professional repair company to get those scores up. It will save buyers a lot of money in the future. Protect your credit – it is valuable. Deciding whether they prefer a maintenance free condo with general homeowner association fees or a single family home are also important aspects to home ownership. I would also encourage a new home buyer to ask as many questions as possible; there is no stupid question.
