Advice for New Home Buyers
My best advice to new home buyers is to find a Real Estate Agent and a Loan Officer with the heart of a teacher. When you find a professional with the heart of a teacher, they will naturally take the time to explain the process and walk you through every step to make sure you feel comfortable and educated.
“Wes helped my wife and I refinance our home. He made the whole process very simple for us. This is the guy you want for your lending needs. When our prior lender botched some of the hand-off to our new lender, Wes went the extra mile to make sure that issues were resolved. This guy understands that mortgages can be confusing and the process of refinancing can be stressful. His professionalism and great attitude made the difference.”

When we closed on our home he helped us through the process, and the final numbers were very close to what was presented. I would recommend Wes to anyone looking for a home!”

“Dedicated, Responsive, detailed, diligent and determined. With exceptional patience he persevered through new FNMAE forms which were enacted February 1st. His communications are the best we experienced in any mortgage development (more than a dozen loans over our several years).”

“We've worked with Wesley and NBKC bank twice now, once on a refinance and most recently on a new home purchase. Both times, Wesley was extremely responsive and accommodating throughout the entire process, and most recently he went above and beyond to ensure our closing happened on time. Additionally, the rates and lending fees offered by NBKC really can't be beat. I would highly recommend working with Wes.”

Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.
Without a doubt, the Kansas City Chiefs are my favorite sports team.
My wife and I lived in a travel trailer for approximately 10 months while traveling the country. This was part of an extended honeymoon and our first big adventure together.
I graduated College with a Master’s Degree from Northwest Missouri State University.
One of my biggest bucket list items is to be 100% debt-free including the mortgage! My goal is to achieve this by the age of 40.
I am most passionate about educating my clients. I believe when my clients feel like they have learned something and were able to make an educated financial decision, that’s when they feel they received 5-star service.
I was actually born in North Carolina, but I grew up just south of Kansas City in a very small town called Adrian. I graduated in a class of 34 kids, but absolutely cherish my childhood memories.
Currently my life is consumed with my family. I have two young children that keep my wife and I on our toes at all times. If I do happen to get a day away from the house, I enjoy playing golf.
Before NBKC, the most interesting Job I had was as a Course Facilitator at a Climbing facility. I worked with my wife; we helped teach college classes as well as guide corporate groups through a suspended obstacle course and multiple rock-climbing walls. If it paid more money, I may have never left.
